Academia’s Blind Spot: The Missing Research on Antisemitism and Mental Health
Thursday, April 3, 2025
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Over the last ten years, and particularly since October 7th, 2023, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of antisemitic incidents and hate crimes in the United States. Yet, shockingly, there is almost no research examining the impact of this rise on the mental health of Jewish communities. In this lecture, Shira Mattuck will share insights from her research, including the first study on antisemitism and mental health in Jewish mothers and their children, and the events which motivated her to begin shedding light on academia’s antisemitism blind spot.
