Thank you for your interest in the trip to Accra, Ghana. From 7/5/2025 to 7/13/2025, College of Medicine students will collaborate with University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS) students and faculty to provide patient care in underserved communities. This experience will foster cross-cultural medical learning, enhance clinical skills in resource-limited settings, and strengthen partnerships between Fertitta College of Medicine and UGMS. Students will work alongside local health care professionals to address community health needs while gaining valuable insights into global health challenges and solutions.

Who is going to book travel?

• The College of Medicine will book the travel (contact to be determined)

How much do I have to pay?

• The total cost is $2750; however, the College of Medicine will cover $500. Therefore, you will be responsible for $2,250.
• Please note that this will paid in two phases.
  • Phase 1: The initial deposit of $250 is due on April 18, 2025 at 11:59 P.M.
  • Phase 2: The remaining balance of $2,000 is due on May 2, 2025 at 11:59 P.M. For flexibility and convenience, options to pay the $2,000 balance are available in the following formats:
  • Option 1: a single payment of $2,000
  • Option 2: two payments of $1,000
  • Important: the full, remaining $2,000 balance is due on May 2, 2025, regardless of the option chosen.

What does this cover?

• This will cover your plane ticket, housing, ground transportation, and some meals.

What is not covered?

• You will be responsible for paying for incidentals, travel insurance, some meals, pre-trip vaccinations / medications / testing, and personal items.

What if I can no longer go after submitting a payment?

• The $250 deposit is non-refundable. Whether you receive an additional refund will depend on the circumstances of your withdrawal and airline policies.
