Lanier Scholarship for Excellence in Biblical Studies
The Lanier Scholarship for Excellence in Biblical Studies is made possible through a generous gift to the Religious Studies Program by Mark and Becky Lanier. It is merit-based and offers $1,000 to $3,000 to full-time UH undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Religious Studies BA degree program and who are preferably in their junior or senior year. It is available to students who demonstrate excellence specifically in the area of biblical studies.

- Are enrolled in the BA in Religious Studies, but students with a minor in Religious Studies are also eligible;
- Are preferably in their junior or senior year (exceptions are possible);
- Achieve a high final course grade in a Religious Studies course in the area of biblical studies;
- Are enrolled full-time and in “Good Academic Standing” with a minimum of completed 60 credit hours at the beginning of the semester for which the scholarship is sought.
