Tuition and Scholarships

Tuition

Students incur charges for a variety of services provided by the university. It is the expectation, as well as a condition of enrollment at the University of Houston, that students satisfy their financial responsibilities in a timely fashion. A student who fails to make full payment of tuition and fees, including any incidental fees, by the due date may be prohibited from registering for classes until full payment is made. A student who fails to make payment prior to the end of the semester may be denied credit for the work done that semester.

Additional costs:

  • The average studio apartment close to UH is about $700-$1000 a month

  • Books and Supplies: $200-$300 per semester estimated

  • Transportation:

    • Gas $50 per week

    • Parking costs are estimated to be $500 each year. These can vary depending on the parking lot.

  • AND student membership: $50/year
