Student Opportunities
Interested in volunteering in the Parent Child Lab? We are hiring research assistants. The research assistant’s primary role is to recruit subjects for studies. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- maintenance of the day-to-day functioning of the lab
- organization of the lab
- data entry
- coding
- assisting with IRB submissions, grant proposals and manuscript preparation.
Research assistants must commit 10-15 hours per week for at least one year. Although this is an unpaid position, there is potential for renewal based on productivity and performance. Unpaid internships are available, and eligible students may pursue independent study for course credit or through PURS or SURF, depending on competitive application and research-interest alignment with the lab. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is required. Please send a cover letter and CV to Leslie Frankel at ParentChildLab@uh.edu.
