Colleen Davies is an academic advisor in the Bauer Honors Program at the University of Houston. In this role, she is charged with undergraduate business honors advising, new student recruitment, event planning, alumni outreach and faculty support. Davies received her bachelor's in government and marketing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. She worked for five years in the retail industry as a senior assistant buyer at both Foley's and JCPenney. In 2007, she moved to Washington, D.C. and served the Second Congressional District of Texas in the Office of Congressman Ted Poe. In 2008, her passion for working with students led her to the role of undergraduate program coordinator for the Archer Center, where she brought University of Texas System students to Washington, D.C. for full time academic and professional experiences. After four years in Washington, D.C., it was time to come home to Texas, and Davies and her family moved to Houston, where she accepted the position with the Bauer Honors Program.
