Alison Leland is the director of the 3+3 Undergraduate/Law Dual-Degree Program, which provides exceptional Honors College students the opportunity to begin their studies at the UH Law Center following their junior year. She also leads the Smithsonian Internship Program and is an instructor of political science in the Honors College.
A graduate of Spelman College and the Georgetown University Law Center, she spent 16 years in investment banking with a Wall Street firm prior to joining the University in 2004. Leland is a trustee of the Menil Museum and a board member of the Texas Defenders Service, which provides representation to indigent death row inmates, and the Mickey Leland Kibbutzim Internship Foundation, which sends high school students to Israel.
