Her areas of interest include transitions of care, clinical management, and patient safety/Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Following her residency, she plans to pursue a pharmacy management position or obtain a clinical pharmacist position.
"I have received many blessings from TSHP and it is my way of saying thanks and giving back to the profession by being involved with the organization," Nguyen said. "It is one of my best decisions that I had done as a student leader. I highly encourage students to be involved with TSHP due to the great leadership, networking, and mentoring opportunities. I am honor to receive the TSHP Special Recognition Award. I could not have done it without my family and the mentors in my life that have guided me through this journey. I look forward to more opportunities to give back and serve this dynamic organization.
The Special Recognition Award is a recent honor bestowed by the TSHP Board of Directors, based on recommendations of the Organizational Affairs Advisory Group.
"Anne has been instrumental in TSHP New Practitioner's Section thus far," wrote Nguyen's nominator. "From her very first day with the section, she has volunteered for each initiative and truly contributed to the College Outreach Program and Annual Seminar programming. She is an excellent leader and role model within our section. Her enthusiasm is contagious, along with her drive and motivation!"
