Emmanuel Owolabi Instructional Assistant
Emmanuel Adewunmi Owolabi (he/him) is an international student from Lagos, Nigeria.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Delta State University and is currently pursuing a master’s in Social Work with a clinical focus at the University of Houston. His goal is to work with underserved communities in under-resourced countries.
As a Program Officer with the Give A Child A Smile Organization, Emmanuel successfully led initiatives to identify and address community needs, manage strategic partnerships, and provide direct support to vulnerable populations. He brings a proven ability to develop care plans, advocate for individuals, and coordinate with partners to improve access to essential services.
Emmanuel is excited to join Student Outreach and Support Services within the Dean of Students Office to support students experiencing complex personal challenges, including mental health crises. His work focuses on identifying needs, facilitating access to campus and community resources, and developing tailored care plans.
Emmanuel is committed to fostering resilience and inclusivity within the student community, ensuring every student feels supported on their path to success.
In his free time, Emmanuel enjoys cooking, traveling, and volunteering.
