Kelly Roberts is the chief administration officer of Hospitality and Gaming for Landry’s, Inc. He joined Landry’s in 1996 and has more than 40 years of experience and leadership in the hospitality industry. Kelly supports the company’s portfolio of six hotels and five casinos totaling more than 6,000 hotel rooms. In addition, he oversees the company’s public/private partnership with the City of Galveston – Landry’s developed and operates the Galveston Island Convention Center for the City of Galveston, Texas.
A graduate of the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Kelly earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1981. He has supported Hilton College’s student mentorship program and is a frequent guest lecturer on the subject of gaming.
Prior to joining Landry’s, Kelly worked for several other hotel management companies in various capacities in the areas of finance and operations in both the U.S. and the Caribbean. He also has experience with two startup companies and has been involved in more than a dozen openings and takeovers.
Kelly is a board member of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau and has also served as the organization’s treasurer. He and his wife, Pam, reside in Houston and have two grown children.
