Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership is honored to partner with Diageo to offer Learning Skills for Life. This program is FREE to those seeking employment in the hospitality industry, specifically those who may have faced barriers to education and employment in their lives.

"This program will provide helpful education and certifications, as well as necessary soft skills required for job seeking and placement in the largest growing industry in the world." said Maggie Padilla, Director of Executive Programs at Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership.

Students will be taught by the expert faculty of the Hilton College and upon the completion of the two-week program, participants will have earned certifications in beverage and food handling. 

Additionally, as part of the curriculum, participants will also learn soft skills, such as preparing for employment interviews, writing resumes and cover letters. Some of the courses will include:

• Introduction to the Hospitality Industry
• Beverage Management and Cost Controls
• Sustainability
• Service Principles
• Lodging Operations
• Resume workshops
• Job interview skills
• And both Food-Handler Certification from the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and Certifications from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC)
