Career Highlights

Professor Chernish has had a rewarding academic life, as well as successful careers in industry and government. He has served as a manager, consultant and entrepreneur in the private sector; a staff member and policy executive in government; and a manager of executive programs and teacher in respected universities. His specialties include human resource management for the hospitality industry, and developing and implementing innovative learning tools using technology and distance education. Professor Chernish’s interests lie in both helping students to learn and in increasing the quality of student preparation to ensure their successful careers in the hospitality industry.
