Eric Affeldt, ClubCorp CEO, to be Inducted Into Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor
HOUSTON, Sept. 15, 2016 – Eric Affeldt, CEO of ClubCorp, a world leader in private golf and country clubs, will be inducted into the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor this year at the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The Hall of Honor, housed at Hilton College, was created in 1996 to recognize industry leaders who have made extraordinary contributions to American and international business and society.
Affeldt will be recognized on Oct. 19, 2016, during the 21st Annual Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor reception, dinner and induction ceremony, which is planned and executed entirely by a team of student managers. In the days leading up to the event, Affeldt also will participate in a series of “Think Tank” sessions alongside other hospitality leaders. These Think Tanks – also planned by students – are open to the entire student body, and will give participants a chance to network and learn from the best in the industry about trending topics.

As the Hall of Honor’s 68th inductee, Affeldt joins the ranks of industry innovators and icons who represent the world’s most successful and recognizable brands. He follows in the footsteps of his company’s Founder and past Chairman Robert Dedman Sr., who was inducted in 2000.
ClubCorp owns or operates more than 200 clubs in the United States and abroad. At ClubCorp’s helm since 2006, Affeldt is responsible for all aspects of the company’s domestic and international operations, as well as its continued growth. He was named Golf Inc. magazine’s “Most Powerful Person in Golf” in 2015, 2014 and 2010.
